Angelica root essential oil is well-known traditionally as 'friend of the aged', as it's a circulatory stimulant and sustains heart, stomach and bowel. A gentle digestive tonic and known to increase body heat when required, in cold conditions. It is also used to create distastes for alcohol.
Also assists to calm down the Central Nervous System (CNS).
Do not confuse with Dong Quai (Chinese Angelica) or Japanese Angelica. They are different in constituents and usage.
Note: Angelica root is now available in two forms: essential oil and single herb as tea.

CAUTION: Do not use in pregnancy and diabetes. Contains furanocoumarins, which may increase skin photosensitivity and cause dermatitis with long-term use.
